Terms of Service
Last updated: 9 September 2026
These terms apply to FrameRewind, a backup and restore plugin for the Framer CMS operated by MDB Next. By subscribing or using the plugin you agree to them. Questions: support@framerewind.com.
The service
FrameRewind takes scheduled and on-demand snapshots of the Framer CMS collections in the projects you connect, shows you what changed compared with the live CMS, and writes selected content back when you ask it to. It works through Framer's official Server API using an API key that you provide and can revoke at any time.
Subscriptions and payment
- Plans are monthly subscriptions: Free, Pro ($12/month) and Agency ($39/month).
- Payment is handled by Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel.
- Prices are in US dollars and exclude VAT. Where we are required to charge VAT, it is added at checkout and shown before you pay. Businesses can enter a valid EU VAT number at checkout; where the reverse-charge mechanism applies, no VAT is charged. If prices change, we will inform existing subscribers before the change takes effect.
- Plan limits (number of sites, snapshot frequency, retention period, restore access) are as shown on the pricing page at the time you subscribe.
Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel at any time through the Stripe customer portal, reachable from the plugin. Your plan stays active until the end of the paid period. We do not automatically refund partial months. If something went genuinely wrong on our side, e-mail us and we will make it right.
When the paid period ends, scheduled backups stop and we e-mail you a link with two choices:
- Stay on the Free plan. Your existing snapshots are kept and keep expiring under the retention window they were taken with; we do not shorten them retroactively. New backups run weekly with 7-day retention on one site. Comparing against the live CMS and exporting a snapshot keep working; restore and on-demand snapshots need a paid plan.
- Delete everything. Every snapshot, every connected site and the encrypted Framer API keys we hold are removed permanently. This is irreversible and we cannot recover it for you.
If you make no choice within 30 days we move you to the Free plan. We will never delete your data on your behalf. Deleting is always something you ask for explicitly, and the page asks you to type the words out before it does anything.
Changing plan
If you move to a plan that covers fewer sites than you have connected, the new limit applies straight away. We keep your oldest sites within the new limit running and pause the rest, then e-mail you a link to choose a different set. A paused site is not deleted: its snapshots are kept, stay downloadable, and it resumes if you move back to a larger plan.
Your responsibilities
- Keep your license key private. It grants access to your snapshots.
- Only connect Framer projects that you are authorised to back up.
- Restoring overwrites live CMS content. Review the diff before you restore, and be aware that a full restore with the delete option removes items created after the snapshot.
- Do not attempt to disrupt the service or access other customers' data.
What we do and do not guarantee
We work hard to keep backups running and restores correct, but FrameRewind is provided as is, without warranties. We depend on Framer's Server API, which is in beta and may change or be unavailable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we cannot guarantee that every field type in every Framer project restores identically. Treat FrameRewind as an extra safety net alongside Framer's own version history, not as your only one.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Availability and changes
We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give subscribers reasonable notice and time to export their snapshots.
Data protection
What we do with your own account data is in the privacy policy. Where we process personal data in your CMS on your behalf, which is the normal case if you look after sites for clients, the data processing agreement applies. It is part of these terms and takes effect with your subscription, with nothing to sign. A countersigned copy is available on request.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands.
